Wound Cores & Rectangular Cores for Transformers & Chokes: BGOC
specialises in the production of all types of
Wound Cores & Rectangular Cores
in Cold Rolled Grain Oriented(CRGO) Silicon
Steels of grades M3, M4, M5 and M6
or as per customers specification.
Cold Rolled Grain Oriented (CRGO)
electrical steel sheets has 3% silicon
content, which develops a high degree
of grain orientation, which thereby gives numerous
advantages when compared with lamination stacked
cores. Some of the advantages include:
-
Up to 30% more flux for the magnetising force.
- Increased
rating for a given size of transformer.
- Better
regulation.
-
Reduction in size and weight.
-
Reduced assembly time, storage and handling
costs.
Normally,
Cores are produced in four material thicknesses: 0.23 mm (M3) 0.27 mm (M4) 0.30 mm (M5, 0.35
mm (M6) and better grades are used for higher
frequencies and pulse applications to meet with
the customers requirements.
Processing of Cores is carefully controlled at
all stages of production by the Quality Management
and every core is individually tested to the appropriate
specification prior to dispatch. The Quality Management
monitors the packing methods of wound cores &
rectangular cores in order to ensure that the
product arrives at the user in good condition.
To achieve performance guarantees, Cores must
comply with the following dimensional parameters:
Mechanical parameters:
-
Inside diameter must be greater than 30mm.
- Ratio
of Inside Diameter / strip width must be greater
than 1.
Performance
guarantees:
The Cores are normally tested and guaranteed at
2 points on the magnetisation curve.
The other points of guarantee can be agreed to
customer’s preferred test conditions and
can be provided.
